ATS Messaging is an ATCOMS application that stretches across ATC and airline operations. It can integrate fully with existing systems, or function as a stand-alone product. The application interfaces with the AFTN and provides for the receipt and transmission of all Doc 4444 and EUROCONTROL ADEXP ATFM messages including movement and control, emergency and flight information.

In ATC mode, it integrates fully with ATCOMS FDMS, providing instant updates on flights and communications between adjacent ATSU controllers. Airline mode can provide dispatchers and flight crew with up-to-the minute information on departure and slot status.

Functionality is improved by various quality features such as:-

• Route processing meets ICAO standards
• Standard taxi times for specific Aerodromes providing for minimum line-up times
• Database maintenance utilities
• Error checking option for incoming messages
• Receipt of SS and DD messages activates visual and audible alarms
• Creation of FPL templates for station based a/c
