Adam has been a part of the Bytron team now for over 4 years and is an IT Support and Infrastructure Engineer for skybook.
We have spoken to Adam to gain a better insight into both his role in the company and who he is as a person.
My role is to set up, maintain and secure our AWS infrastructure for the applications and services we provide. Managing and creating CI/CD pipelines, performing security application testing and reporting. Maintenance of Access Controls. Working in Linux environments majority of the time, but also in Microsoft and Apple operating systems, creating automation scripts to work smarter not harder.
There’s always a challenge, there’s never nothing to do. Working with different departments, helping people. Finding new and better ways to increase efficiency.
I have always had a passion for IT. I went straight into the IT industry on an apprenticeship after school, building computers and servers for all different types of clientele. I started at Keyzo as part of the IT Support Team, helping customers and staff with IT and application issues. I quickly became interested in the SysOps/DevOps work and the company and staff helped me progress into this area. I have achieved the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification, working to take the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification next
Having a thirst for knowledge. Investigate how things work. A passion for technology and always working on something productive. “Do not be embarrassed by your failures, learn from them and start again” – Richard Branson
Teleportation, to travel anywhere instantly. Have Coffee in Paris, surf the Maldives, nap on Kilimanjaro, all before lunch.
Autumn, the cooling-off season, the season I was born in. Halloween and we get an extra hour from daylight savings.
Adam is a great asset to the company and it has been a pleasure to find out about the successes within his role and see how the company has had a positive affect on his career.
