Summary
This skybook Ground Portal update includes Time-based NOTAM filtering settings, and viewable loadsheet visibility within the Record Vault Sector History.
The skybook EFB now includes that ability to upload loadsheets either via API, sector attachments or email attachment. Pilots can review, compare, sign and distribute loadsheets directly within the app. The Map module has been upgraded, introducing a interactive globe view that allows users to seamlessly navigate and explore any area of the world.
Ground Portal updates
Notam time-based filtering
Reduce briefing clutter with time-based NOTAM filtering that displays only relevant notices for departure, arrival and alternate airfields based on the flight’s operational timeframe.
Customisable settings have been added to the NOTAM screen of the Default Settings section, allowing users to select their preferred NOTAM time window according to airfield roles. These are:
- Alternate NOTAM filter (hours after ETA)
- Alternate NOTAM filter (hours before ETA)
- Arrival NOTAM filter (hours after ETA)
- Arrival NOTAM filter (hours before ETA)
- Departure NOTAM filter (hours after ETD)
- Departure NOTAM filter (hours before ETD)

If not set, the NOTAMs will default to show NOTAMs for the NOTAM Selection period after arrival and NOTAM Selection period before departure respectively.

skybook EFB updates
Loadsheet Upload, Sign & Send
It is now possible to upload a loadsheet to the skybook Ground Portal, which pilots can view, sign and distribute as required.
The Pre-Flight section now has a Loadsheet module where you can reject, view, or sign and distribute loadsheets. A new loadsheet will have the status "Pending".

To view a loadsheet, tap the grey View button to the left of the filename and the PDF will open.

You can also tap on the blue Sign off button to see additional information and sign off the loadsheet. The PIC field will automatically be populated with the name of the Pilot In Command, and you can tap in the Notes field to add any notes about the loadsheet.
Note: The PIC field is a required field so you will not be able to sign off the loadsheet if it is not complete. You can change the PIC in the Crew module if necessary.

Once you have made your changes, you can tap on the blue Sign button to accept the loadsheet. This will bring up the Scribblepad, where you can enter your signature.

When you tap the green Sign & Send button, the signed loadsheet is transmitted back to the skybook Ground Portal and sent to all email addresses on your company's pre-defined loadsheet distribution list. The status of the loadsheet changes to "Signed" in the Loadsheet module, and the Reject and Sign off buttons are greyed out.
If a new loadsheet is received, you will receive a notification alerting you of the update:

The new loadsheet will also be displayed in the Loadsheet module and will be identified with a New badge. You can view and sign it in the same way.

You can tap the Compare button to compare the two loadsheets. The filename, time of receipt and status of the loadsheet is shown at the top of each loadsheet and the newest version is identified with a New badge.

Once you have compared the new loadsheet with the current one, you can choose to either Sign off or Reject it. Tap the arrow at the top-left of the screen to return to the Loadsheet module.
To reject a loadsheet, tap the red Reject button to the left of the filename. Then tap Reject to confirm that you want to reject the loadsheet.

The status of the loadsheet changes to "Rejected" in the Loadsheet module, and the Reject and Sign off buttons are greyed out.

Loadsheets are uploaded to the skybook Ground Portal manually as Sector attachments, as an email attachment, or via an API. Either a PDF or a text file can be uploaded.
Note: There is a maximum limit of 60 characters for attachment filenames.

Information about all of the loadsheets is stored in the Record Vault including the filename, time of receipt, status of the loadsheet, and signature.

Enhanced EFB Map Module
The existing EFB map functionality in the Map module has been replaced with Mapbox to provide a modernised map.
Instead of a flat map, the map displays the globe, which can be moved in any direction to show the required part of the world.

To improve performance within the skybook EFB, and to keep the display clearer, the Upper Wind and Temperature layer and the Flight Level picker have been removed.
Changes have also been made to the handling of weather data to ensure that only data relevant to the flight route is downloaded to the skybook EFB. Otherwise, the user functionality in the Map module remains the same.
You can still use your device's 'pinch and zoom' functionality to zoom in or out.
By default the Waypoints, Airfields and FIRS Environment Layer toggles are now displayed:

Similarly, all of the remaining Weather Layer toggles are now displayed by default: Clear Air Turbulence, CB Cloud, Cyclones and Volcanoes.

Landing Performance field metrics
A new operator setting has been created to allow values in the LDA, Landing Weight and LDTA fields in the Landing Performance module to be captured using imperial measurements.
The LDA and LDTA fields can be recorded in feet (ft) and the Landing Weight field can be recorded in pounds (lb).

Note: This functionality is not available by default. Please contact your skybook account representative for further information.
The fields are captured using the same metrics in the In-Flight tab of the Record Vault in the skybook Ground Portal.

Note: The Weight fields use the fuel unit of the aircraft, which is determined by the Fuel Metrics in the Fleets tab of the Settings module in the skybook Ground Portal.
Integration updates
Voyage events changes
Departure and destination codes can now be processed as ICAO or IATA codes in the voyage events for a sector. Voyage Event data can be authenticated with an API key, and can be sent to multiple endpoints for a customer. Please see the Voyage Events documentation in the bookshelf for more information.
SIGWX (Significant Weather) static charts
SIGWX static weather charts are now generated by a new static chart plotter. They are created every 6 hours (every time there is a new SIGWX data model) and include SIGWX data for the time period shown in the map information. The static weather charts include the following types of data where available: Jet-stream, Tropopause, Cumulonimbus, Icing (FL 100-450 charts only), Turbulence, Tropical Cyclone, Volcano and Radiation (Nuclear). They also include the more significant cities, denoted by a dot and the first character of the city name.
Crew information parsed from ARINC-633 OFP.xml
Crew information, including duty codes, from an ARINC-633-5 OFP.xml file can now be parsed and automatically assigned to a sector. Crew members that do not have an employee ID can also be matched to sectors by their username, which they can use to sign in to the skybook EFB, and a username will be created for any unknown crew member received.
