2017 has been a truly vintage year for us at Bytron Aviation Systems, by far our busiest year to date in fact.
It has been challenging but rewarding in equal measures and the team have worked tirelessly throughout the year to help drive the company forward on a global scale.
skybook has continued to grow and evolve in line with the needs of our clients and the wider aviation industry. The result, a truly flexible and accessible modular system proven to make a real difference across flight dispatch, digital crew briefing, airfield monitoring and journey logging.
Interest in our software has continuously grown throughout 2017 and it still makes me immensely proud to say that in January, we teamed up with Jeppesen to make skybook available as part of their global product line up. An exciting prospect for both companies as we go into 2018.
skybook has gone live within a number of operators including flydubai, Air Atlanta and SATA Azores Airlines, after proving itself to be the most effective and reliable solution when evaluated against other products and initial feedback is showing skybook’s true capabilities in an operational environment.
flydubai alone produce in excess of 250 briefing packs each day for their crews as they fly to 95 destinations and drive towards a paperless briefing environment with the help of our class leading digital briefing packs. One of the many benefits of embedding skybook into your organisation.
A busy and exciting year, 2017 kept on delivering surprises even as we entered late November when skybook won the Software Innovation of the Year category at the 2017 Digital Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. We fought off some very stiff competition in the process to come home with that accolade.
So what does 2018 have in store for Bytron Aviation Systems and our award winning skybook software?
Our development roadmap is packed with a range of new modules and functionality, which we will be starting to release early in 2018 when we launch our all new user interface closely followed by our Flight Following module and much more.
IF you want to know more, simply email us via info@bytron.aero and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a skybook demonstration.
All that is left for me to do now is sign off by wishing all of our clients, both current and future, a Merry Christmas and prosperous new year.
We’re looking forward to speaking to you all in 2018.
